We all set goals. That is just what we do, we humans. But when you set a goal, do you keep it hidden away from everyone? Or do you announce to the world what you are going to do.
There are pro’s and con’s on both sides of this dilemma. If you hide your goal, is it because that way, if you fail to reach it, no one will know? Or are you the quiet type who goes about working on your goal without making a lot of noise?
And if you tell everyone, is it to make as much noise as you can, to attract as much attention to yourself as you can for whatever reason you may have?
So what do you do? The quiet way, the up front way? And is one system best for all circumstances?
Now that is a pretty big fish, but I thought about it and am sure that I can do it. And yes, there are big fish in this river. The pike I am holding is 42″ long, caught by my son Daniel. I will let you know (you will have to comment on this post to get follow ups) how I am doing over the summer and will definitely put up a picture of my 60″ plus fish. Just imagine, 5 feet of fish, why that’s over 1.5 meters! Woo Hoo!
Week one:
3 pound Catfish, only about 14″ long, but that is what is in season and we gave the boat a trial run, checked out the water, and now will make modifications for the 60″ lunker that is waiting for me.
At 60″, what kind of fish would that be? How much would it weigh? In which province would you catch it?
60″ is almost as long as I am tall. That would be a very big fish!
My goal this summer is to go hiking in Gatineau park (never been there). Bought a book on hiking trails in the Ottawa region. Time for me to explore hiking trails that are closer to home.
60 inch fish, or to put it another way, a 5 foot fish.
And yes it is out there. I had it on once, right up to the boat before it got off.
What kind of fish? I will post a picture of it and tell all about it when I get it. But don’t under estimate the Mighty Ottawa River. There are big fish in those waters.
Dan didn’t tell me about that one. I am jealous. As a kid, I went with an old man on that river to catch cat fish. One time, 4 of us in 2 boats found a pool. In two hours we must have caught over 200. Being of northern European origins we smoked them. delicious. LoL, probably toxic in the 60′s with all the polution from pulpe then.
