Gluten Sensitivity is finally gaining traction. People are becoming aware of the symptoms of Gluten intolerance, and even some medical doctors are aware of this. So what are the symptoms you ask?
You can have any or all of the above symptoms, but you need to understand, this is not always a digestive problem.
I have found that so many people are unhappy with who they are and where they are in life, BUT they fight so hard no to change. They want to change, but doing something about it just seems too hard to do.
It seems as if a tipping point has to be reached, where your current discomfort finally becomes greater than the discomfort of going through a change.
This news story is just the tip of the iceberg. And yes, there are multiple factors involved here, from the drastic decline of “outside” time children have, the rise of the online world and all their accompanying games, to our dietary changes over the last 50 years.

Her upcoming 50th birthday has scared her into thinking about what she has done with her life and where she is going.
“I’m going to turn 50!” she said, as if that was the end of the good years in her life.
And that was where we started to dig deeper into what the real issue was.
No matter how you look at it, your weight affects your self-esteem. Just look at the ads for the Bernstein weight loss clinic. Did not matter that much of the weight loss industry might be hurting your health in a big way.
But things are changing in our society. For women especially, being fit is the new thin. That certainly has to be a much healthier trend as opposed to hurting your kidneys, destroying your blood-sugar ratios and causing anorexia that some weight loss programs end up doing.
I love looking after kids, and overall, they seem to like me. I’ve been looking after this little one for most of his life. Tim is 4 years old now and even though he knows me, he rarely speaks. He just looks at me with those piercing eyes of his and occasionally gives me a little smile. One thing I do know, his mom tells me, is that he does like coming to the office to see Dr. Tony. He even calls our community pool outside the window Dr. Tony’s pool.
This day, he followed me in the treatment room ahead of his mom. He sat on the stool in the corner and started to give me that gaze of his. Read More

Just heard the verdict of Cory Monteith’s autopsy on CBC radio
I loved this guy, he was a natural, so easy going and likable. And now he is gone.
When I heard the radio report as to the cause of death, I literally yelled out, “You idiot! You had it all and you threw it all away!!”
I was frustrated that such an nice young man would take his own life in this manner. Such a loss to all of us who enjoyed his career and were looking forward to so much more.
And then I calmed down and said to myself, “He’s not the only one who throws it all away. … and you don’t know what drove him to abuse alcohol and drugs.” Read More
NBC News is reporting on ” a sobering thought for every cat owner in charge of emptying the litter box: Felines deposit about 1.2 million metric tons of feces into the U.S. environment every year, a new study finds, and all that poop may pose an under-recognized public health hazard.”
It is guesstimated that 1 % of cats are shedding parasites when
I know I personally have said it numerous times. Just wait until ….., then everything will be just fine.
This isn’t exactly a “Sophie’s Choice” type of decision but it still is a heavy one to make.
So here’s the story. A patient, in pain and sick, unable to work, (but still getting paid sick leave) had to make a choice between paying money for her care vs getting the cat treated for diabetes.
Now not all health care is FREE, (i.e. paid by the government or health plan) and you sometimes have to pay out of pocket. And veterinarians certainly not FREE, although you can purchase pet health insurance. Read More
If you haven’t already heard about Angelina Jolie’s story about genetic testing and her mastectomy, click here.
Yes, gene research can reveal a wealth of data about oneself, BUT that is not the whole story.
The press, in typical fashion, are only focusing on a tiny part of the whole picture.
Yes, there is are “high-risk” genes that indicate you could get cancer. BUT, that is not the whole picture.
But a word of caution, “when things sound too good to be true, they usually are!”
Somewhere, at sometime, somehow, you will end up paying. And most often you end up paying dearly.
Thank the Lord, Spring has finally arrived here in Ottawa, Ontario. And unfortunately for some poor individuals, that means allergies.
But there is hope. Photo Credit
