And I guess the point of that saying is that wishes won't change your life.

But wishing is part of manifesting and can be a very important key in making your world the way you want it to be.

And some people seem to be more powerful manifestors than others. And simply wishing can and does make a difference.

Reading my daughters blog, Bumpy Boobs (WARNING: ADULT LANGUAGE) today illustrates just how powerful wishing can be. Read More

An earlier blog of her’s shows how she puts the power into a wish, when she is talking about children.

So, my point of this blog post: wishing for something is not usually enough to change your life, nevertheless, be careful of what you with for.

What has happened to our bread? Because whether we like it or not, it has changed, and changed dramatically in the last 50 years. Follow this link http://jovialfoods.com/history-timeline.html to see how the wheat we now eat is not the same thing we had only 50 short years ago.

Modern wheat has more gluten, and the new gluten structures that have become so altered from earlier strains of wheat that many of them trigger inflammation. And this inflammation causes everything from celiac disease to arthritis, obesity, brain fog, fatigue and much more.

And if this isn’t bad enough, for many people, they become addicted to wheat, just like they would to a drug such as cocaine or cigarettes! One of the proteins contained in wheat, gliadin, is not only an appetite stimulant, but it also converts into a morphine-like compound that causes an addiction to wheat.

There are ways to get tested to see if you are sensitive to wheat. BUT being tested for Celiac disease is not the way to go. Celiac is only one symptom of a gluten allergy, but you may have a gluten allergy and not test positive for gluten.

There are tests that look at your DNA, your genes to see if you are sensitive to gluten. They cost about $150 to have done and are not done in Canada. This is something you have to pay for yourself as OHIP does not cover this.

But one of the most effective tests is to go off all gluten, 100% off for 3 to 4 weeks. Then do a gluten challenge and eat all the gluten you can stand. Wheaties for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch and wheat pasta for supper. If you get that far, to supper that is, you will know by the next day the results. If you feel like you just got hit by a truck, that is your body’s reaction to the gluten.

It is real folks, wheat and it’s gluten are causing massive health problems in our society.

Give it a try and let us know how you do.

So here's the story. A patient, in pain and sick, unable to work, (but still getting paid sick leave) had to make a choice between paying money for her care vs getting the cat treated for diabetes.

Now not all health care is FREE, (i.e. paid by the government or health plan) and you sometimes have to pay out of pocket. And veterinarians certainly not FREE, although you can purchase pet health insurance. Read More

So here’s the story.

A patient, in severe pain, sick, unable to work, (but still getting paid sick leave) had to make a choice between paying money for her care vs getting the cat treated at the vets.

Now not all health care is FREE, (i.e. paid by the government or health plan) and you sometimes have to pay out of pocket. And veterinarians certainly not FREE, although you can purchase pet health insurance.

So back to the story. This patient, after months of not being able to work, in just one week of care experienced a 50% improvement. Pain is much less, able to sleep and walk! And that is big. When I suggested they come back for another visit this week, I was told that they couldn’t do it. Had to wait until the next paycheck.

I only found out later that the truth was that their cat needed to see the vet and that would cost money that was intended for their own health care.

So the decision was getting yourself fit and back to work vs helping your cat go see the vet.

And I do understand that pets become family. I really do. But, as I said in the title of this post, what would you do?
