Have A Little Fun

1Comments

By : Dr Marcelle and Dr Tony At : 6:34 am

We all work hard, because if we don’t, life doesn’t seem to move forward. And that is what life is like, it’s just like a wheel barrow, it only seems to go forward if we push it. Stop pushing at it, and we stop moving forward.

BUT you still need to take time to have a little fun along the way. We have found that when you get into the grind and don’t take a break, when you keep going week after week and month after month without a break your productivity goes down. And it goes down a lot.

Making a Better Vitamin

0Comments

By : Dr Marcelle and Dr Tony At : 5:58 am

Some people think that a multivitamin is a multivitamin. That all are relatively the same. I used to think so and in that scenario, cheaper is better. Of course all that changed when I learned how to muscle test and discovered that some vitamins are better absorbed than others.

And all the while, scientists ignored what are called PHYTONUTRIENTS. These are chemicals that are in foods that cause a blue berry to be blue and that cause that garlic smell in a clove of garlic. But we, the scientific world didn’t know what they did. And so we threw them out and ignored them.

Until recently that is. Read More

All The Lonely People

2Comments

By : Dr Marcelle and Dr Tony At : 8:25 am

“All the lonely people. Where do they all come from?” Leave it to the Beatles to hit the nail on the head about loneliness.

Turns out that upwards of 15% of society is lonely, and this lonely is deep and it can cause health issues. One study found that lonely people develop high blood pressure compared to non-lonely people. And it can ruin your sleep, make you sick and bring about an early death.

Lucky People’s Traits

0Comments

By : Dr Marcelle and Dr Tony At : 11:20 am

My brother Michael has a saying he uses when anyone says to him, “Boy Mike, have you ever been lucky with your business.”

His answer, “Yes, and the harder I work, the luckier I get”.

Hard Work equals Good Luck?

It’s obvious that without effort, nothing will change, but is Luck just the result of hard work? That’s the real question.

In a BBC report, Professor Richard Wiseman, of the University of Hertfordshire has researched and found that there are traits that lucky people have.

Follow Your Bliss

0Comments

By : Dr Marcelle and Dr Tony At : 8:10 am

Bliss can be a state of profound satisfaction, happiness and joy, a constant state of mind, undisturbed by gain or loss. Wikipedia

To paraphrase Steve Jobs, “Find what you love, and do what you love”.

But does it make sense in today’s perilous economic times? Or do we simply hunker down and hope we don’t get laid off. Hold your breath and hope that eventually something better will come along? That seems to be the attitude of most people and who can blame them,

Eating is Recreation

1Comments

By : Dr Marcelle and Dr Tony At : 11:07 am

We all do it! We eat when we are not really hungry. Just had supper? Well then, how about a snack while watching TV?

It seems that we just can’t stop the habit of chewing and eating something, even when we may be feeling quite full.

So ask yourself, how many calories does it take to watch NCIS, or American Idol? Don’t know? Take a look at the package of chips, or cookies or popcorn you just ate and you will get an idea.

Eating has become part of our recreation activities. Going to a hockey game, get a large coke and a hotdog. Read More …

It’s The Happiest Time of The Year

1Comments

By : Dr Marcelle and Dr Tony At : 6:22 pm

It’s all about manifesting your dreams. And it is that time of year again, where one’s thoughts turn to spring and open water. And of course that means fishing.

What a great way to set goals, and to teach an appreciation of nature to your kids.

This weekend is the Ottawa Boat & Sportsmen’s Show. If you like water, the great outdoors, kayaking, canoeing , well you get the idea, this is the place to be. Read more

Sometimes You Need an Expert

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing! We all know that but every now and then, we need to get a reminder about it.

I tried updating my web site, all by myself and something went wrong. Don’t know what. If I knew what, I guess it wouldn’t have gone wrong, or at least I could have fixed it.

But something went wrong. Read More

How Long Do You Want To Live?

0Comments

By : Dr Marcelle and Dr Tony At : 5:09 am

Just had this conversation with a few people and it seems that the “politically correct” answer is to say that you want to live to 100 or even more. Hollywood certainly seems obsessed with youth, just take a look at Madonna and just think of how hard she must work, not to mention what she is taking and doing to her body to stay young. And then there is Chere. Enough said.

Of course, those who say they want to live to Read More
