A lot of new-age thinking here, but in actual fact, the idea of chakras goes back thousands of years.
Chakra is a concept originating in Hindu texts, featured in tantric and yogic traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism. Its name derives from the Sanskrit word for “wheel” .
The Chakras are said to be “force centers” or whorls of energy permeating, from a point on the physical body.
Barbara Ann Brennan in her books and courses refers to these energy centres in the body.
They actually seem to be related to specific systems in the body, from nerve plexuses to centers of hormonal production such as the thyroid or the pituitary glands.
What we at Awakening Potentials have found is that they are related to emotions and themes. For instance, the bottom chakra, called the base chakra is about being grounded to this world. And the other chakras are related to such topics as sexuality, your physical energy, love, expressing yourself, intuition and at the top, is your spiritual connection.
Doesn’t matter what religion you adhere to, the findings are the same.
At the last 2 Ultimate Wake Up workshops, we did an exercise on the chakras that were a big hit. As a result, we now have a product called Ultimate Chakra Empowerment that you can use over and over again to check up on your chakras and overall state of well-being. You can read more about this by clicking here, or order your own copy by clicking here.
Why don’t you share with the rest of us what you have discovered about chakras.
The “Ultimate Chakra Empowerment” CD is a fun, guided meditation to explore what your subconscious is experiencing with respect to your chakras, through the visualization of animal totems. I enjoy what my animal totems reveal to me and I love to draw them. Provides good insight on an intuitive level.
This exercise has indeed been popular with participants at the Ultimate WakeUp workshops. At my last workshop, my crown chakra had a phoenix as my animal totem… my kitten was named Phoenix before I adopted him… cool co-incidence! My kitten, renamed Zeus, is my now role model on how to live life to the fullest and how to push myself when I’m doing physical training.
Tony, thanks so much for providing us with this CD. It certainly boosts my creativity, and I get to draw animal totems more frequently than once a year at the workshop.
I like to do this exercise every few months. I find the chakra energies change and so do the messages. Sometimes a little, sometimes a lot.
