“The Secret” tells us we can do it. Inspirational speakers tell us we can do it, there must be hundreds of books, if not thousands that tell us we can manifest our life.
So what is your problem? Why doesn’t it work? There is a saying from one of the original manifesting books, written about 1900 called It Works. “If wishes were horses, beggars would ride” is how the book starts out.
And there it is, manifesting is not wishing. I heard some t.v. hosts talking about the secret. So, said the anchor man, all I have to do is say “I am a millionaire” enough times and I will be one. Let me try. “I am a millionaire, I am a millionaire, I am a millionaire”. Well he said, I guess it doesn’t work because I’m still broke. And that shows the lack of understanding that most people have about manifesting.
We do manifest our lives, but it comes from a deeper level than our conscious mind, because that is our ego talking. And that is what makes manifesting both hard and easy at the same time. You must be able to tap into a deeper level, beyond the ego to truly set out your manifestations that you want.
And the thing is that we do this all the time, only we do it at an unconscious level. We don’t know we do it and we don’t know how to control it. And that results in a life that seems out of control. You have got to go deeper, much deeper to truly change this etheric blue print of your life. And that is what is both hard to do and easy to do once you have found the real secret to doing this.
So dear reader, what do you think, is manifesting just positive thinking, or wishing? Have you found the way to go deeper? Lets share.

Hi Tony,
Ever since I started going to the “Ultimate Wakeup” workshops that you and Marcelle put on, I have noticed that I am creating the life that I want.
For me, it’s a case of noticing the good, small things that happen every day, which create a sense in me of wonderment. That sense of wonderment floods me with inner peace and joy… something I’ve been looking for ever since I was a child.
I just spent a week with my mom, travelling the country roads of Eastern Ontario. Yesterday, we were in the middle of nowhere and mom needed to go to the bathroom. As we turn the corner, we find a little gas station – it’s so little that it only sells one type of gas – regular. A few hours later, mom was hot and wanted an icecream. I’m driving through a town I don’t know, I turn up a residential street to get my bearings, when I see a Dairy Queen. Mom looks at me stunned.
I try not to dwell on the hiccups (like having to do a 4-hour drive tomorrow to my mom’s place to retrieve my wallet which I left yesterday – oops). Well, it means I get to hug her again
Marcelle’s exercise about being 100% in the moment has worked wonders for me (and my mom, ever since I taught it to her). I have learnt to focus on the positive, and deal with the negative. During my trip with my mom, I was happy to see that whenever we started talking about a subject from our past that brought back painful memories, mom flicked her hands above her head and “sent it to the universe”. I smiled. We could then focus on the beautiful lakes and countryside that we were visiting. Yup, being in the moment is pretty powerful stuff!
I like the quote “good luck is when preparation meets opportunity”. For me, it illustrates that the preparation that you and Marcelle teach us, allows us to spot and act on opportunities which present themselves, thus enabling to achieve what we want in our lives.
You guys are great!
P.S. Tell JP that his acupuncture which he did on my neck and shoulders before I left on my trip did wonders – I experienced no pain or headaches. His liniment worked wonders on my mom’s back.
What you wrote is so wonderful! When you get yourself in gear, life just starts happening like you said.
And how did you like Eastern Ontario? Isn’t it a gem? (my favorite is Prince Edward County, aka Picton and area)
Tony
Yes indeed, Eastern Ontario is very beautiful with its numerous, shimmering, blue lakes.
My favourite spot was Sandbanks Provincial Park in Prince Edward County. The day was cool, windy with storm clouds overhead and white caps on the West Lake. The sand was firm from the previous day’s rainfall. The air smelled like the ocean. Not a soul in sight. I had a great time walking the mammoth, sixty-foot sand dunes, being invigorated by the cool wind and fascinated by these sand dunes held together with cottonwood trees and wormwood shrubs. It reminded me of my favourite beach in Barbados, Bathsheba, where I would hear the constant roar of the Atlantic Ocean, feel the gusty, cool Trade Winds, and walk across smaller sand dunes (eight-foot high) covered in sea grape. At Sandbanks, I felt happy and at home. I could have walked those mammoth dunes for hours, but I promised my mom that my hike would be only be two hours.
Another manifesting event which took place on my trip was in Rockport. While waiting for our two-hour boat ride of the Thousand Islands, I was admiring a little garden, specifically a plant the was covered in native ladybugs too numerous to count. I thought, “Wouldn’t it be nice to have a plant like that in my garden in Ottawa”. A lady came up beside me and I pointed out the plant covered in the ladybugs. “It’s a tansy”, she said. “Brush you hand across the leaves and smell”. I did as she said, and the fragrance was like a soothing combination of marshmallow and peppermint. “Are the leaves edible, can they be used for tea?” I asked. “No”, she said as I quickly spat out the bitter-tasting leaf I had popped in my mouth in my enthusiasm. “I gather you are the gardener” I quizzed. “Yes I am. I planted that bush from a small sprig in the spring, and look how big it has grown”. “Would it grow it Ottawa?” I asked. “Yes it would, but you won’t find it in any nursery”. The next thing you know, she was on her hands and knees, digging up a portion of the plant and putting it in a pot for me. “Wow, that is a wonderful gift. Can you tell me your name so I can name this plant after you to remember this moment?” I asked. “It’s Carmen”. Carmen the tansy, will be now be joining Fiona the crimson king maple, and Ed the red maple, in my little backyard oasis.
Tony, thanks for suggesting that I explore the countryside near where I live so that I can realise that I am close to beautiful nature which I love. Also, thanks for teaching me how to go deep within to bring out my true nature, and to be thrilled at the goodness that surrounds me. Mom was very happy that I spent this time with her.
Wow! That is very nice Françoise. As some of you know, I have been through a bit of a rough time in the last couple of years. 1st, that major accident 2 years ago and last year, my almost 25 year old marriage “broke”.
Like you Françoise, I’ve been going to those WONDERFUL workshops and I have learnt so much through them. I can’t wait for the next one to occur in less than 2 months.
And like you, I am starting to manifest exactly what I want, it’s almost “freaky” but in a great way. I’ve been cleaning my toxic mindset a lot in the last few years and I’m finally harvesting the fruit of my labour. And it is BLISSFUL. I have been working on achieving bliss for a while now and it has finally come to visit and I am planning on adopting
i.e. I’ll keep working on getting rid of those toxic mindsets so that the bliss sticks around for good.
A dear friend that I met at the 1st workshop calls me TMSB for toxic mindset buster. I was very touched by my new “nickname”. I am forever grateful to Marcelle and Tony for putting up those workshops and truly making this world a better place one person at a time.
Hi France,
I agree that when I manifest my good thoughts, it does feel “freaky” because it happens so quickly and so effortlessly, it feels like magic! It feels so good, so natural, so peaceful! It makes me smile.
There are still times when things don’t go well, that’s when I know I need to work with Tony one-on-one to get to the root of my problems. The deeper I go, the easier it becomes… yup, Tony sure has done a lot of work to help me get rid of unconscious blocks and negative societal conditionings.
Difficult times do happen. I’m happy to say that Tony’s, Marcelle’s and JP’s work with me gives me a healthy mindset to deal with difficult issues so that I don’t get bogged down with negativity. This makes it so much easier to focus on the good things in my life.
I do like the sense of amazement and wonder that I feel. So, I aim not to take for granted the beauty in my life.
Congratulations on your new nickname – the “toxic mindset buster”. Remember you have another nickname – the “wiggle hugger”. Looking forward to my next wiggle hug when I meet you in person at the November 2010 “Ultimate WakeUp Workshop”.
,~, that seems to be a great topic, i really love it “~.
